The concept album ‘Orlando Trip’ has been released on 8 October.
After numerous international performances of the cinematic music show ORLANDO TRIP in the last three years the album brings a studio version of the songs and is available worldwide on all common music platforms!
Two countries, two companies, one vision
Overcoming boarders and clichés – on the track of joint European narrations in arts and academics: ORLANDO TRIP and DIDO is a spectacular package of mirroring and correlating performances on universal human needs and feelings – ancient, contemporary and utopian all at once. Touring as a double-date in Turkey in June 2024!
ORLANDO TRIP is a cinematic music show about the mythical character Orlando. And a tribute to the great European minds Lodovico Ariosto and Virginia Woolf.
Orlando, a knight and traveller, crosses the seas several times and finally returns as a woman. His/her story is performed in 12 songs, intermezzi and videos.
ORLANDO TRIP is simultaneously a spoken performance, a concert and a rush of images. Fox On Ice creates the suggestion of an effortless transition between stage and film, humans and landscape, man and woman. It is the suggestion of a departure, a journey of discovery into an unknown land. In this sequence of transformations, a poetic ego liquefies, celebrating the dual gender of the soul and promising one thing above all: freedom.
ORLANDO TRIP has been invited at international theatres and festivals in Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Romania, Greece, Slovenia, Israel, Sri Lanka and Austria.

Recently, I had the rare opportunity to experience a vibrant musical performance titled ‘Orlando Trip,’ presented by Austrian artist Anna Luca Poloni and her collaborator Christian Mair at the Barefoot Gallery Garden.
The event celebrated Austrian National Day and showcased their joint project, ‘Fox On Ice’, which delves into narratives of transformation through feminine and fluid perspectives. At the inter-creative crossroads of music, literature, film, and theatre, this dynamic duo passionately explores the complexities of identity and change.

“A good story is like a fit knife”. Anna Luca Poloni recites this sentence at the beginning and end of her production “Orlando Trip“, which she premiered in Austria together with Christian Mair at the festival “Europa in Szene” focusing on “Sea Change – the art of transformation” at the Kasematten in Wiener Neustadt.
The cinematic-musical show, produced under the label “Fox on ice”, leans on the tradition of “concept albums” with 12 songs. With his album “Frank Sinatra sings for only the lonely“, Frank Sinatra is considered the forefather of this genre, in which the individual titles refer to each other and thus follow a certain “concept”.
